About HopGrid

Shared commuting, made simple

Every day, cars and bikes travel the same roads with empty seats while other people look for a way to make the same trip. HopGrid connects them.

What we care about

Simple coordination

Tell HopGrid your trip; it finds the rides going your way, or keeps looking until one is offered. Requests, answers and updates live in one app.

Fuller vehicles

A seat that would travel empty anyway is the most efficient seat there is. Sharing it means fewer vehicles for the same trips.

Clear prices and rules

Fares come from the distance and the kind of vehicle, never from haggling. Fees, refunds and cancellation rules are written down and shown before you decide.

Honest about trust

We show what we have checked, such as a driving licence, and say plainly what we have not. You decide who you travel with.

What HopGrid is, and is not

HopGrid is an app that connects people who are driving somewhere with people going the same way. It is not a transport operator and does not employ drivers: the people offering rides are commuters like the people joining them.

One account works both ways. Join rides as a passenger, and once your driving licence is verified and your vehicle is added, offer the seats you are not using.
